Nougat Cheesecake

For the base:

  • 200 g of crushed Maria or Digestive biscuits
  • 100g melted unsalted butter

For the stuffing:

  • 500 g of cream cheese at room temperature
  • 150 g of white sugar
  • 200 ml whipping cream (milk cream)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 300 g of crumbled Jijona nougat (soft nougat).
  • 100 g of chocolate chips or pieces of nougat to give consistency

For decoration:

  • 200 ml of whipping cream, already whipped
  • 50 g of crumbled Jijona nougat
  • Chocolate chips to taste

🔸Instructions🔸

Basic:

  • Mix the crushed biscuits with the melted butter.
  • Press into the bottom of a removable mold and place in the refrigerator while you prepare the filling.
    Filling:
  • Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F).
  • Beat the cream cheese with the sugar until smooth.
  • Add the cream and mix well.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating gently after each addition.
  • Add the crumbled Jijona nougat and the chocolate chips. Mix with enveloping movements.
  • Pour this mixture onto the biscuit base.
    Baking:
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is almost set.
  • Turn off the oven, open the door slightly and leave the cake to cool inside to prevent it from breaking.
    Cooling down:
  • Once cool, refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours or overnight.
    Decoration:
  • Before serving, decorate with whipped cream, crumbled nougat and chocolate chips to taste.
    Serve:
