Naans with cheese

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, yeast and sugar.
  2. Add the yogurt and warm water and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 10 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F).
  6. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions.
  7. Spread each portion into a disk approximately 15cm in diameter.
  8. Spread grated cheese on half of each disk.
  9. Fold the discs in half, enclosing the cheese inside.
  10. Pinch the edges of the discs to seal.
  11. Heat a frying pan or griddle over medium heat.
  12. Brush naans with melted butter.
  13. Cook the naans in the pan or on the griddle for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  14. Serve immediately.
